Nicola Roberts Covers Culture

Girls Aloud member turned Soloist Nicola Roberts is busy promoting her second single 'Lucky Day' currently doing the rounds on both music channels and radio stations simultaneously but that doesn't mean she hasn't got time for a quick cover shoot and interview here and there landing the front page of The Sunday Times Culture Magazine.

The article, entitled Up For The Fight, documents the gorgeous ginger singer's transition from being known as the shy 'Ugly Duckling' of Girls Aloud to the outspoken, beauty we now see before us. Delving into her family background, her musical influences and on the back of the Girls Aloud's phenomenal successes (Just the odd top ten hit here and there aka 20! And the odd few million album sales...but who's counting?) to ultimately creating and crafting her debut record.

Quoting The Promise singer's debut album as being "a riot of point-scoring lyrics and unfettered, giddy-making bonkers pop" of which Nicola has had a hand in writing 99% of the album save one track also commenting on Roberts' debut single, the Diplo 'Beat of My Drum' praising the track as "one of the most eccentric pop songs to have graced the charts in years."

Nicola's second single 'Lucky Day' is released September 18 with her debut LP 'Cinderella's Eyes' dropping a week later on September 26. Girls Aloud's 10th anniversary hits next year with all members having hinted at a reunion of some sort.
