With his fellow X-Factor finalists Cher Lloyd and One Direction making their own impacts on the charts (and Rebbecca Ferguson's Walker's Crisp ads) Matt Cardle has finally decided to enter into the race with his new video for new single 'Run For Your Life'.
The X-Factor winner has already topped the chart with his X-Factor Winner's Song last year and the short former painter and decorator will no doubt be hoping to follow up with this somewhat Snow Patrol/The Script sounding effort.
Matt is in desperate need of styling for this rather minimalist and lazy video. Yes there will be people who say he is just sticking to his roots and doing what he feels comfortable doing but with the likes of Cher Lloyd and One Direction already grabbing successes left and right, Matt needs to pull all the stops to secure his X-Factor winner's status and that means pushing the boundaries and bringing it hard! (He does look pretty good on his album cover though! Gotta give him that!)
At least he got rid of that flat cap...guess its one step at a time Matty boy!
Matt recently took to twitter posting that work on his debut album 'The Letters' had been completed following the final tracks having been chosen. Matt's new single 'Run For Your Life' was penned by new X-Factor Judge Gary Barlow and is set for release with two exclusive Itunes bonus tracks October 9 with the album following on October 17.
