Revenge is a dish best served cold but ABC's new sizzling drama of the same name is set to heat things up with a cast of Hollywood hotties with one in particular intent on some personal payback.
You know what people say about payback right? Its a bitch, and so is Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp), moonlighting as Emily Thorne as she maneuvers herself into the lives of her father's former friends moving back to her once cherished hometown in the process.
Why you ask? Well its quite simple really. Amanda wants revenge on the people who played a vital role in ruining her Father's life, leading to his long haul incarceration, his tragic death and as a result, her troubled childhood. Did we mention her dad was set up for crimes of alleged acts of terrorism? No? Well her dad was set up for crimes of alleged acts of terrorism. Sucks to be you right now. But as the wise Beyonce has said "what goes around comes back around".
Set in the New York popular seaside resort of The Hamptons, the pilot episode revolves around Amanda's back-stroy and current motivations alongside a host of key character introductions including rich uber bitch Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) who is keeping a watchful eye on Emily's budding relationship with son Danny (Joshua Bowman).
Of course with any possible romantic entanglement comes the third party. Enter Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler), the best friend/would-be first love if your father hadn't been framed for crimes of alleged terrorism. Everyone loves a triangle. Especially when each point of said triangle looks as good as these young specimens.
Meanwhile Gossip Girl's Eric Vanderwoodsen (Connor Paolo) has swapped the polluted air of the Upper East Side for his new found love of the sea breeze playing Jack's little brother Declan Porter who hasn't got a dime to his name.
Schemes. Bitching. Back stabbing. Nice houses. Nice clothes. Beautiful people. Romantic entanglement. Its dark. Its twisted. Its brilliant. Everything I want and more.
Revenge debuted on ABC on September 21 airing Wednesday nights at 9pm/10pm respectively. The show's pilot episode premiered with a whopping 10.2 million viewers.
