New Pussycat Dolls Revealed at Super Bowl

Remember when the Pussycat Dolls were good and their motto was 'Sassy but always Classy' not 'shit and cheap'? Well ideologies have clearly shifted if the Go Daddy Superbowl Commercial is anything to go by, which aired last night debuting the NEW and OFFICIAL line-up of the burlesque-troupe-turned-recording-group.

What a let down. The clip showcased Lauren Bennett heavily throughout (no lead singer? Hmmm we shall see) and I expected a new snippet of their debut single to be previewed or at least a re-recorded version of Don't Cha. The very hit that launched the previous PCDs. What makes matters even worse is the fact they look like carbon copies of the Originals. Evident by fan-made pictures currently doing the rounds on forums and tumblr.

The launch of the new Pussycat Dolls needs to be massive and in your face. They need interviews. Live performances. Snippets of upcoming tracks. Not a ridiculous advert 'premiering' the girls but this is to be expected when you have Robin 'I haven't a clue what I'm doing' Antin running the operation. By necessity a reality show is in the works of course, produced by reality Queen Kim Kardashian reportedly revolving around the formation of the new Pussycat Dolls' recording group.

The original Pussycat Dolls parted ways in 2010 following disputes regarding front-woman Nicole Scherzinger's over-emphasis. Scherzinger claimed the Dolls would be back bigger and better than ever with a few new faces but later back tracked leaving the group to focus on a solo career. (Clearly she was fighting her way out of a contract). The new line-up consists of Lauren Bennett (LMFAO, Pardiso Girls), Chrystina Sayers (Girlicious) Paula Van Oppen, Vanessa Curry and Erica Kiehl Jenkins.

Take a look at the new Dolls in action in their horrific Go Daddy commercial below.
