The Best of the BAFTAs Red Carpet

The British Academy Film Awards took place last night in Covent Garden with the usual suspects of 2011 and early 2012s most critically acclaimed actor's and actresses strutting their stuff on the red carpet.

First up. The ladies. Michelle Williams opted for her frequent use of contrasting simplistic shades of white and black in a bespoke custom H&M gown. Tilda Swilton also kept it minimal in a dazzling white classic number by Celine. Presenter Fearne Cotton stood alongside Dermot O'Leary in a peach Moschino dress complete with a beaded collar and a black ribbon belt. Spanish actress Penelope Cruz in a strapless Armani dark red gown.

Then came the men. For once the men seemed to up their game on the red carpet with the likes of Dermot O'Leary looking dapper in a Tom Sweeney suit. Burberry's poster boy Eddie Redmayne naturally in black velvet by Burberry and Cuba Gooding Jnr in mulberry velvet blazer with black lapels, black trousers by Hackett throwing a cream woolen scarf to complete his look. Michael Fassbender had nothing to be aSHAMEd about in Armani tailoring. Whilst Hollywood buddies Brad Pitt and George Clooney seemed to have taken tips in the overcoat department.
