Full Moon Dream Board: Hello,Tiger Heart.

Hello Sunflowers!* The Moon is full and she is looking glorious in her muggy summer dress! I so look forward to this time when we get to share our intentions, struggles, victories and wishes. Personally, this past cycle was tough: I was stuck. There was work to be done and major decisions to be made but it was like dragging a drunk elephant up a busy street. You know the feeling?

Long story simplified short version: Of all the projects I am passionate about and juggling--it felt like no one was on the bandwagon. Everyone talked a lot of excited talk about wanting to participate or exchanged promises and when it came time to walk the walk--they bailed.

I panicked. I can't do this, I'm fucked. It's too big. I need moral support!

And then another thought creeped in: Is it that you can't do it or that you're afraid to do it alone?

I know the answer.

It's show time, Tiger Heart.

This cycle my board is about Courage: digging up the big braveness that already exists in me. Being bold doesn't mean you never fear--it means you don't let the fear win. I wish it for all of you joy warriors out there too. Your tiger heart is already inside you!Merry Full Moon!

Full Moon Dream Board: Into The Woods

Hello Dumplings!* Merry Full Moon to all my dream board sisters! It's time to make fixin's for manifesting and reflect on the mayhem and miracles of the past cycle. This month my dream board is all about finding tranquility, solitude and Stillness. For me this Moon is about reclaiming sacred space and making room for quiet--room for another voice to be heard.

Heavy Metal: Pink Moon Victory!

Merry Full Moon, Kittens! This cycle my dream board looks a bit different: rainbow snakes and shot guns. (That's me in the feathers.) My intention for this full Moon is to lasso all this hot pink energy and unleash it as a rock show that's been brewing for the past nine months. I've been in the bunker with the boys working on my latest Rock Projeckt: Onward Rex Goliath. Since last summer we've been writing, recording, researching, practicing, and pumping iron in our homemade bunker studio in anticipation of our stepping out show, which happens to be this coming Friday. My wish is to surprise people--make them step back and reconsider how they feel about "girl singers" and ambitious local music.

It's time to step out and Step it up. Kick in faces and Kick out the jams! Failure is not an option. Mission: Complete Annihilation. Do like Joan says and rock on to Victory. Take no prisoners and blow minds-- paint the town and burn it down! Wish me luck!

Womens Circle: The "C" Word

Hello Shortcakes!* It was a flurry of activity at HerSpeak HQ this week! It was a blast to take full advantage of the invigorating full moon and meet with my women's circle! Amid the massive protesting and tumultuous political climate here in Wisconsin, it was grounding to get together and hide out with friends. This month our discussion focus was creativity: What was the last creative project you worked on? Do you feel like an inner creative life is vital? What or who makes you feel like a juiced-up genius? What forms does your creativity take? Oh...and cupcakes. :)
*We took turns describing our creative practices, and the difference between pipe dreams, wishes and goals. You couldn't help but get jazzed listening to everyone speak electrically about the amazing plans they have and using sailor speak to spill their super secret creative desires. Every time we meet I am joyously surprised by what bubbles up to the surface when spit-fire women get together.

*
We closed the evening with a wishcasting: everyone took a moment to cook up a creative wish. Each of us lit a candle, wished with vigor and were backed with the enthusiasm and strength of the group:
"I wish for my band to have a righteously kick ass stepping-out show." "As Molly wishes for herself, so we wish for her also!" We lit candles for members of the circle who couldn't attend due to life difficulties and sent them our Love. After all wishes were cast, we blew out the lights birthday-cake-style, sending our good juju sure-fire out to the Universe!
Here's wishing all of you in the blogosphere a breathtakingly creative cycle!
Until Next Time- Much Joy & Merry Making!

Full Moon Dream Board: Switch On, Switch Off and Flow

Hello Cherubs!*
Amber light is pouring into my apartment while the sun sets over downtown--making long purple shadows in the snow. It's the perfect almost-evening to take a deep breath, make plans and wait for cool blue of Moon! It's been quite some time since I've been able to participate in our Dream Board ritual and it's such a treat to make art and magic with the group again. :)

This full moon my focus is Flow. The last few months have been filled with a lot of hard work and gusto but BRICKWALLS seemed to be springing up like daisies...crabby crabby daisies that shouldn't work in costumer service. Fortunately, the much anticipated call I'd been waiting for finally came in the nick-of- time! And the news: Swell! A job--yes! School Acceptance--yes! The tide is coming in and the Molly Ship is on it! Things are beginning to fall into place. My intention is for the juices that are regaining their Uumph and the events that are set in motion keep moving swirling and sweeping forward! ----> May all of us roll with the rush and hush of the push and pull and ride the gentle vibration like a bareback unicorn. :)

Merry Full Moon, Dearies!
Until Next Time--Much Joy, Merry Making!

Everything is New: Womens Circle Bon Fire

Hello Sparrows!* Story Time...
Recently our women's circle gathered in my mum's backyard under a full moon for our First Annual Fire Ritual. We bundled up and walked down the hill where were greeted by an impressive funeral pyre--we had things to let go of.

We huddled together and were covered in purple sage smoke. All of us brought items to cast into the fire: years of journals, letters that were never sent, messy paperwork, regrets, hurt, burdens and napkins jotted with fears. In turn we each offered them to the fire with relief and tears. We were proud of each other--proud that we could be naked like this, be honest. We asked that our sicknesses and worries be lifted from us and that the holes in our souls be filled with the warmth of our pits' hot amber sparks and strength.

Then we offered thanks, gratitude for all the incredible gifts we experience by throwing a sweet handful of lavender into the flame. Thank you Universe for our families, our food, our resources, good drink, our bedsheets and friendships. We prayed to Great Spirit that we'd ride a kinder gentler vibration and Trust in the Way of Things, that goodness would find us.

We stood together, our faces a-glow, casting long blue moon shadows and let out a wild Howl.

We left the smoldering fire cracking in the yard to pop open bottles of wine. We celebrated because we knew we had each other. We celebrated because we knew we could heal. We celebrated because we know that everything is going to be alright.

Until Next Time~
Much Joy and Merry Making!

I'm Not Dead!

Hello Chickadees!*
I'm not dead! (Yet.) Just in the throes of finals and moving! Here's a peek at what sort of questionable activities have been shakin' at HerSpeak:

Dreamboard:

I know I'm late--shame on me. For this Moon cycle I'm wishing for Levity: some lightness, some whimsy, some relief and some moon-wing shoes to put some bounce in my step.
I can't wait to peruse all of your moon creations!

MoVing:

I've spent the last two weeks doing a major purge of the apartment. Time to let go of garbage and Baggage. Here's Mr. Milo helping me hold down the clutter fort while I sort.

I had a giant Give-Away last weekend--super fun! All of my friends and neighbors came by to look for treasures and cleared me out of StUfF I didn't need any longer. We had a killer turn out--they were like vultures. One big happy apartment clutter puke. :D

Making Stuff:

Here are a few in-progress pieces I've been working on in the last few weeks:

A self portrait was inspired by Mayan priestess pottery paintings...

Still a LOT of work left to go on this piece. The face needs to be finished and then one big juicy blue glaze over the top to push and flatten the whole image.

I just finished this piece--and while the paint was still wet my professor hung it in the display case before I got to document it. So, you can see my reflection while I try to catch a shotty photo through the glass like a cat burglar...

I just started laying paint down for this 'Creatrix' piece on Wednesday. I'm working larger these days and looking at a lot of Mayan ritual imagery for inspiration. The headdresses and body modification are amazing! I'm letting it spill over into my art journaling as well...

So tomorrow is the big day! We're packin' this party up and moving downtown.
Gypsy caravan...yehaw!

Until Next Time--
Merry Belated Full Moon and Many Blissings!

Full Moon Dream Board: Present!

Merry Full Moon, Cherubs!*

One Question: Where the hell did February go? The last few wintry weeks have been a blur! How serendipitous that the Full Moon and Switch Off Sunday coincided so beautifully--time to sip coffee and set intentions. This cycle, my Full Moon my focus is to Be Present.

I've been swimming around in my head a lot lately--and my arms are getting tired. I'm doing a LOT but not getting anything done, food isn't nourishment it's a nuisance and conversations escape me because while Body is slouching in the chair Brain is off in another dimension worrying nit-wit worries.

*Gentle Slap from The Universe*

"Step out of the echo chamber, Lady!"

*

This cycle I intend to get hip to the Here and Now.

Use my hands, feel my face,

feed it real food and wear silly stockings.

Be my body's new best friend.

Get on the boat to Lucidity City.

Sensations!--

they're all the rage in Europe.

Count clouds. Study the Cards.

Be grounded--

every step a little kiss to Mama Gaia.

*

And kisses to all of you! Until Next Time, dearies--

Much Joy and Merry Making!

Full Moon Dream Board: Clarity

Merry Full Moon, Kittens!*

Such a strange and delightful treat to have two full moons in one December! This cycle, my Blue Moon dreamboard is intended for Clarity.

Let the wiggliness of the guts be replaced with calmness in the bones. Let the scattered bits of brain coalesce into a kaleidoscopes clear pattern. Let the long "Uuuuuhs...." be swapped for a euphoric "Ah HA!". May the caterwompessness to coached into Clarity.

May each of you find a moment on this New Year's Eve to howl at the Moon in your sequined dress and party shoes! I'll be toasting her too. :)

Until Next Time--

Much Joy and Merry Making!

New Years Revolution

Hello Cupcakes!*

The snow is snowin', the Moon is growin' and it's WishCasting Wednesday! This week our Wishtress Jamie asks us, what do you wish for 2010?

I wish to be more Adventurous.

Amelia Earhart

Anna and I made a joint resolution this year--more like a joint REVOLUTION--to be daring! I wish to say how I really feel, paint what I really mean, wear whatever the hell I want and just get out there and DO IT. I have some fascinating opportunities popping up around me--one of the many blessings that come about when you surround yourself with creative sweeties and the occasional weirdo--and I don't want to be too afraid to take a big juicy bite out of it! In 2010 I'm pitching fear to the wind for a party-like-a-rock-star year full of Soul, discovery and giggle-snort inducing "Hey- remember-that-one-time" stories.

2010, I'll show you my swagger.

Our Blue Moon is almost full, dearies! And that in itself is squeal worthy: Wish big! Wish Bold!

What do you wish for?

Full Moon Dream Board: Resources

Merry Full Moon, My Pretties!*
Holy moly this cycle went past in a FLASH! It's that time to peer out the windows and make our full Moon wishes! This month my dream board addresses my need for FoCuS! I'm cooking up some big projects, particularly the planning of a Halloween themed gallery and performance event--"Massacreade: The Curious. The Marvelous. The Macabre" on which I am collaborating on with all sorts of fabulous folk. It's a dream project: vampire fashion, spooky art exhibition, The Famous Graves performing with special guests...essentially throwing a publicized evening of mayhem with every wickedly cool and talented person I know. The school year also started PeTal tO tHe MeTaL on wednesday and I'm up to my unkempt eyebrows in books, studio supply lists and project deadlines.

On This Full Moon I Wish For
success in my projects--
a splendid tidal-wave-turn out and a flow beauteous artworks!
The Focus to get the job done right the first time!
The Resources to pull it all off and make it look breezy!
And joy to make the experience pleasant,
worthwhile, and memorable for all involved!

Here's to a New rabbit hole!
What will you wish for, my dears?
Wish Wild! Wish Boldly!

Until Next time--
Many Blissings and Merry Making~*

Full Moon Dream Board: Up and At 'EM

The semester is in full mid-term swing and I'm busy making travel preparations for our spring break excursion this weekend! A foggy evening in the midst of total madness--perfect for stealing a moment to whip up a dream board and make a Full Moon wish!

This cycle I am asking the Universe for The Juice: the up-and-at-'em serum! To spring out of bed rested, and ready to make the devil shake and say, "S**t! She's awake!" I am asking to become a Great Slayer of To Do Lists. I'm asking for the TIME and resources to pour into the projects that need my attention. In these next few weeks, I want not only to go with the flow, but be in Love with the flow-- waltz cheek to cheek with the flow-- and make the whole breezy affair look easy. ;) Shall we dance?

***Merry Full Moon, Friends!***

Until next time--

Much Joy, Many Blissings.~*

Full Moon Dream Board: Focus Pocus!

The Moon is gloriously round in Her fullness and it's time to cast circles and Wish Wishes! This month my Dream Board focuses on Abundance, Opportunities and a little Focus-Pocus! When I say Abundance, I'm not just talking about material abundance--though I wouldn't turn my nose up to a winning lottery ticket. :) This month Abundance means Abundant Joy, Abundance of New Clients, Abundance of Motivation, Abundance of business connections, networking and friendship opportunities. One of my major New Year goals is to get my business off the ground and get my finances in order--finally! I'm not desiring new leather furniture, pretty new threads or fancy booze. I'm shooting for STABILITY. I'm getting the ball rolling by Actively working on stashing away in my savings account, scouting new galleries, sticking to a strict grocery budget and opening my Creative Gravy workshop for enrollment. I'm setting the stage and now Universe-- I need a little boost, please! :)

W
ish away, my pretties!
***Many Blissings and Merry Full Moon!***

Full Moon Dream Board: Merry Making

Hooray! It's dream board day! I can't wait to fly around and see what everyone has created! This dream board is wish for the Joy of Making to be part of everyone's season. There are few satisfactions in life that compare to getting splotches of pink paint on your jeans , crafting a beautiful gift for someone dear or simply marveling at what you've managed to make with your own two hands. It is a wish for everyone to be visited by their Muse, to realize their endless creative potential and not only enjoy it, but revel in it! This December Moon I wish...

"May your vision be true-
May your creative spirit be a font-
May your days be full of Spots, Spills and Scribbles-
May you be Merry in your Making!"

Delicious Dreams and Many Blissings Everyone!~*
