Its been a long, long time since Sean Paul did anything worth a mention but this week the reggae rapper has teamed up with one of 2011's hottest new RnB acts Alexis Jordan to bring us 'Got 2 Luv U'. Got 2 Luv text talk. Its a sure win for chart success by not using real words.
The track, produced by Stargate, has not been officially announced as the lead single from the Get Busy singer's upcoming fifth album but it would be a wise choice considering critics can't get enough of it.
Popcrush wrote "Sean Paul returns with a hot song that will surely heat up the clubs worldwide. The dancehall sensation is in full mack mode..." whilst Soulculture posted "Nice little pop tune. Hope it does well for him. Will be good to have a Jamaican artist back on the charts after a series of rip-offs by inferior artists". Harsh but true.
Desihits however reviewed "After a hiatus, Sean Paul has reentered the spotlight...this song is all about the fact that Sean Paul is willing to do whatever it takes for love. The sensual lyrics are packed with dedication and affection." It certainly helps have top notch vocalist Alexis on hand to lend her powerful chops.
