Andrew Garfield Covers Entertainment Weekly

With X-men gaining a reboot in the form of the phenomenally epic First Class it comes as no surprise that following the abysmal tits up that was Spider-Man 3, the wall-crawler has been given the chance to swing back into the fold once again in the shape of The Social Network's Andrew Garfield who has not only landed the role but is also featured on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly.

In the interview Garfield discusses his soon-to-be web-slinging status, his love of the comic books and animated tv series as well as interviews with the film's villain Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard played by Rhys Ifans and director Marc Webb.

It is clear from the pics in the mag that Garfield is definitely a great fit for the wall crawler with his tall, slim-athletic build. Perfect for a limber Spider-Man.

Andrew Garfield will become Peter Parker on July 3 2012 when The Amazing Spider-Man debuts on the big screen worldwide. The first trailer is set to premiere next week. Entertainment Weekly is out now.
