British Sci-Fi hit tv show and Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood is finally returning! After three seasons the now completely depleted team are down to two members last seen parting company for pastures and babies new.
Now Captain Jack Harkness (John Borrowman) has returned relocating to LA with a new team of Americans by his side who must figure out who/why or what is causing the world's population to cease from dying. Also on hand to help him sort out this conundrum is of course the trusty Welsh companion Qwen (Eva Myles) and her equally Welsh husband Rhys (Kai Owen).
The new team members consist of two new females and two new males, one of which is a criminal who faces the lethal injection. There is also a one night stand man in the works for Jack. Grrr Ianto Jones better return at some point! James Marsters is also rumoured to be in talks for reprising his role as Captain John. Russell T Davies is naturally still on board alongside Buffy alumini Jane Espenson. Davies has claimed the move to LA is the natural progression for both the show and the characters.
All I have to say is could this storyline of no deaths not occurred earlier on so Ianto didn't have to die!!! Any road, Torchwood: Miracle Day as it is entitled is shaping up to be something of pure excitement and one I will be sure not to miss.
Torchwood: Miracle Day will air in the US first on Starz in July set to debut here in UK in August. Check out the first trailer to hit the web below.
