Printed, Patterned and Embroidered

Well another week is over and having spent my last seven days in London where I am currently interning at H&M's Press Office whilst studying Fashion Journalism at the London College of Fashion I thought I'd treat myself to a little stroll around Oxford Circus. Since it was Friday and I got paid...so why the hell not??!

All would have went swimmingly had it not been for the sheer fact that the UK high-street is packed with utter crap and the only place worth mentioning anything slightly more high-end is Selfridges in which I think my wallet would literally jump from my trouser pocket and run straight into the arms of the nearest Kebab merchant. Slightly racist remarks aside, I decided to take my business elsewhere (especially away from Oxford Circus' Zara outlet...one guy on tills to a queue of 20 people whilst the entire shop, head to toe, was completely trashed...no thanks) and by elsewhere I mean to Korea. No, unfortunately I did not get on a private jet, I went online.

Having been extremely bored and more than a little unimpressed by the current collections housed by big fashion names I struck metallic gold with the Korean's thirst for the more high-end and adventurous side of the current trends. Something that is a tad refreshing with their bold and colorful printed, patterned and embroidered trousers. A trend showcased in Versace's designer collaboration with H&M which featured a white and black graphical zebra print and a green, yellow and blue palm crocodile pattern skinny jeans.

From reindeer prints, Aztec and Navajo to embroidered arrow heads, both cropped and tapered. They have it all. Keep it simple by matching with color blocked plain t-shirts with pocket detail, scoop neck or v-necks and roll up the sleeves to give it that relaxed touch. For the more formal occasion roll up the trouser cuffs, tuck in a long sleeved Oxford shirt. Even add a patterned silk neck scarf for an extra but be careful not to let the patterns clash.

If you're not all that keen on the trouser side of life, Topman offer a suitable alternative in the form of Aztrec printed and blue silver seahorse embroidered shorts available online and in store now.
