Move over the Kate Moss' and Alexa Chung's of this world, because come June 15 2012 its all about the boys as London launches its first official Men's Fashion Week (3 days) under the name 'LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN'.
The news was announced earlier this evening via the British Fashion Council with British designer J.W. Anderson and of course the one and only TOPMAN having already signed up to showcase their collections along with a host of others. Tom Ford and GQ Editor Dylan Jones will chair the event taking seats on the committee.
The event will mark London's stance on Menswear aligning itself with the other Fashion Capitals of the world such as Paris and Milan who have been giving Menswear their undivided attention for quite some time now. It does however mean a rush for designers to showcase their 2013 campaigns in time for June following their February debuts at LFW.
London Menswear fashion shows will run on the last day of the London Fashionweek beginning February 17-22. LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN will run June 15 to June 17.
