Marcus Collins Premieres Underwhelming 'Seven Nation Army' Cover

X-Factor winners Little Mix have barely had time to finish their cereal and their rival/runner-up Marcus Collins has released his first solo single. But Leigh-Anne, Perrie, Jade and Jesy shouldn't fret too much as the Liverpudlian lad's White Stripes cover is unfortunately a bit of a let down.

The track fails to contain any of Marcus' energy, personality or outstanding vocals. Equally failing to grow, change or climax at any point throughout as a result. All in all a rather mediocre cover from the hardcore performer. I expected more Marcus. Hopefully it will merely serve as a promo single with a more up-beat, jazz-pop number serving as MC's lead single as 'Seven Nation Army' neither surprises or delivers as a debut offering.

Should Marcus have went down the path previous X-Factor runner ups have followed and that's spend a little time on your own individual sound and release an ORIGINAL song? Yes. Nevertheless, I still love the man's style and eagerly anticipate a phenomenal follow-up to this rather weak and disappointing effort.

Marcus Collins' debut single 'Seven Nation Army' is available to download now with its official release scheduled for March 4. Marcus' debut album is available to pre-order now.
