Okay, I know. Bunnies are not bullshit. They are cute, emotive little critters who are an integral part of the environment. The bullshit is a town being held to ransom over a pack a feral rabbits created by lazy, indifferent people. These rabbits are not part of nature, they are a pest.
The situation in Canmore is not about animal rights. There is nothing humane about rounding up these hapless bunnies, putting them through a surgical procedure and then releasing them to a life without meaning. I would call that the lowest form of cruelty!
I would also call it a gross waste of time, energy and money in a world that has far more real suffering than a pack of bunnies that should not have been there in the first place.

Killing them quickly and eating them would have been the humane and sensible choice. The pest would be eradicated while serving a useful purpose.
