MINX MIX TAPE: Volume #7

Hello Peachy Pies! Welcome to Minx Mix Tape: a weekly all girl digital dance party celebrating women making wicked music for the masses. Let's get to the tape!

Let's kick off with a little Philly brat-punk by Slutever! Thanks to Sarah for turning me onto this totally addicting lo-fi temper tantrum. These gals are currently touring in a city near you. :)
Bold
Next up, some Americana Folk Rock by Lissie. Her live performances are just as clean and soulful as her recordings...and this one has a T-Rex. Yes--we've got a T-Rex!

For this weeks dose of Vitamin Weird I bring you Rasputina: a New York based cello-driven gothic chamber group. These girls pull creative influences from Victorian fashion, cabaret performances and folk roots. Their lead singer, Melora Creager is a Jill-of-All-Trades as the lyricist and creatrix of all of the bands amazing artwork.

And to wrap up this weeks tape is a powerpop punch from The Action Design--the latest project of Tsunami Bomb's former singer, Emily Whitehurst.

Thanks for joining the party! Got a song you want to hear--leave a link in the comments? Love the songs? Could live without them? Let's have some words. :)
