Melody Thornton Voted off Popstar To Operastar

After singing for survival in the bottom two on the first live show, former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton found herself in the same position last night going up against Top Loader's Joseph losing out after the judges decided to save him instead.

The Buttons singer tweeted following Welsh Opera star Katherine Jenkins' decision not to save her "@KathJenkins is an amazing teacher and human being! I'm so blessed to have learned what I have from her and so glad we met! LoveUKatherine!"

Melody was joined by fellow former doll Kimberly Wyatt who turned up to support her on the show last week as well being moved to tears this week in rehearsals by Melody's moving rendition of 'Mon coeur s’ouvre a ta voix' from Sampson and Delilah.

Speaking on Melody feeling low due to being away from her family Wyatt stated "I know Melody is going to persevere and she's going to shine."

Melody also performed in a group performance commanding the stage in a sleek red number where she more than certainly shone in my eyes. Who needs the British public...they kept Andy Bell in who forgot pretty much all the words! Boo!

Check out her Popstar to Opera performances below. Melody is set to return to the States to work on her new release 'Sweet Vendetta' available on Itunes now.
