Her Majesty and the Wolves '111' Album Review

Kimberly Wyatt has come a long, long way from being 'the blond girl who did that leg-lift' in Worldwide phenomenon the Pussycat Dolls.

The Don't Cha singer has had a successful two year stint on Sky One's hit show Got To Dance, with one season of the American version Live to Dance. She's had a UK hit with Candy featuring Aggro Santos and now having teamed up with Jupiter Rising's Spencer Neezy to create the electro-pop duo Her Majesty and the Wolves, the former PCD should be on cloud 9.

From what I have just heard of their upcoming album '111', their inspiring debut definitely cements this theory. The electronic masterpiece does not contain a single track that I do not like! In short terms it is brilliant. A far cry away from Kim's previous glimpses on PCD related efforts and I believe we have electro-genius Spencer to thank for this who more than shines on every track alongside Kim.

Fan faves 'Stars in Their Eyes', the ultra dance-anthem 'Glaciers' and current single 'Goodbye/Goodnight' are obvious inclusions serving to blend in perfectly with the theme of the album. What is the theme? AMAZEMENT!

It's one big journey from beginning to end of 'wow', 'oh yeah'...'jeez I didn't think it would actually be this good'.

Things to skip would have to be the intro, interludes and ending as I personally don't enjoy these inclusions but they do serve to merge the collection together as what can only be described as an epic dubstep/electro/dance-pop whirlwind affair.

Standout tracks are the haunting ballads 'Shades of Grey', 'Our Love' and thumping heart-breaker 'Cut Me Down'. Future singles should be feel-good anthems 'Never Come Down', the infectious 'Walking on the Sun' and the twisted 'Emerald Showers'. Other worthy mentions are 'Spinning Circles' and 'Head in Clouds'. So basically the whole album!

Well done guys! Coming in as a mix of Britney Spears meets Taio Cruz and the Black Eyed peas, '111' will no doubt shape up to be one of the best offerings of 2011.

The alternative pop-duo hit Metro Radio in Newcastle last night. Her Majesty and the Wolves' debut album is released officially July 11, be sure to pick up a copy! Check out their interview with Metro below.
