Hover Fly Macro

Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be…Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar, and you’ll live as you’ve never lived before.

I miss seeing the butterflies. This is either a Black Tiger Swallowtail or a Pipevine Swallowtail. Those two ALWAYS confuse me!

Macro Monday - At the Top

One's destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things.
~ Henry Miller
About the Image: Taken 05-11-11 - I had quite a fascination with ants over the summer. They move so fast it's hard to get them in focus.

Locust Borer Beetle - Macro Monday

As we grow as unique persons, we learn to respect the uniqueness of others.
~ Robert H Schuller
This is a Lifer Bug for me - the first one I've even seen. I find him quite unique - and - beautiful in his own special way. He was crawling in the Goldenrod and blends in quite well.

Green Shield Bug - The Climb

Always continue the climb. It is possible for you to do whatever you choose, if you first get to know who you are and are willing to work with a power that is greater than ourselves to do it.

Dragonfly - How We Look at Things

It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how things are in themselves. The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.

Hummingbird Moth And Summer Colors

What a beautiful, sunny morning. It makes you happy to be alive, doesn't it? We can't let the sun outshine us! We have to beam, too!
~Takayuki Ikkaku
Yes, it's another Hummingbird Moth. I have seen more this summer than ever before and I will miss them when they are gone. This week has felt a bit like Fall with cooler mornings and I've even heard the Geese flyover each morning and evening.
