Joy

I've pondered what this exactly means. To me it means trying to keep a positive attitude, seeing the positive in things rather than the negative and it just builds upon itself. The more positive/happy/joyful you are - the more positive/happy/joyful you become.
And it is contagious - so spread it around :)

Autumn Lace

For the Fall of the year is more than three months bounded by
an equinox and a solstice. It is a summing up without the
finality of year's end.

A Mental Squint Required

When you are describing,
A shape, or sound, or tint;
Don't state the matter plainly,
But put it in a hint;
And learn to look at all things,
With a sort of mental squint.
~Lewis Carroll

Jewelry of Nature

Innumerable as the stars of night,
Or stars of morning, dewdrops which the sun
Impearls on every leaf and every flower.

Layers of Lace

Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wildflower Dreams

To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life.
One of my favorite quotes that I've used often on this blog. It is quite thrilling to me to hear the birds sing, to see flowers in a field or a butterfly in flight. What wonderful entertainment and beauty there is in just going for a walk. This was taken on my walk yesterday. I believe it is Queen Anne's Lace and the blue in the background is Chicory

Queen Anne's Lace ~ Wildflower Elegance

To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common - this is my symphony. ~William Henry Channing
