A Mental Squint Required

When you are describing,

A shape, or sound, or tint;

Don't state the matter plainly,

But put it in a hint;

And learn to look at all things,

With a sort of mental squint.

~Lewis Carroll

Butterfly Patterns - Wings on Wednesday

Creativity involves breaking out of established patterns in order to look at things in a different way. ~Edward de Bono

This butterfly was seen at the Butterfly Conservatory I visited in Georgia at the end of June. A tropical butterfly of some sort. I didn't have much time so I wasn't able to ID all of the ones I shot.

And on another note -

I am not a very fashion conscious person - my favorite outfit is a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and some tennis shoes - however - I definitely think the pattern and colors on this butterfly's wings would make a GREAT fabric for a dress. In fact - I bet my sister would look wonderful in it.
