Full Moon Dream Board: Healing

*Merry Full Moon, dearies!
It is a beautiful May day for making moon magick! Normally, I put together a photoshop collage for my dream board, but this month I was craving something a little more sensually satisfying. So I went to a sketch book for a tiny 10 minute holiday--being done with school, lighting the FAT black pillar candle, and finally getting rubber cement and sequins stuck to my fingers while flopping around in puddles of watercolor. What a r e l e i f . . .

Won't you join me in a rejuvenating exhale?

A a a a a a h h h h h h....

Much better.
This month's dream board is dedicated to Healing--
Fixing bodies, tending to spirits, and plenty of rest
for myself and all the souls around me.
To Balance--
Finding footing, listening to Body and managing Time.
Getting a grasp on the Cosmic See-Saw.
It's fun to ride once you learn how.

To Grounding--
Experiencing sand-in-my-shoes, the warm-wet smell of dirt, bird sounds
and living in the Here and Now.
Here's to the Present, friends.

May all your dreams sprout wings and find you!

Until Next Time--
Many Blissings and Merry Making!

A Breather

My brain is a milkshake: Can't read anymore, can't print anymore, can't find anything in the fridge I'd touch with a ten foot pole. It's time for a Moment. A wink of nothing, just a warm spot of "take -it-down-a-notch" tea. To sweep out my brain and get the muscles in my shoulders to stop sumo wrestling I decided to do a short stream of consciousness jot. Anyone care to join me?

Oil Pastel Pastoral: New Work

My fingers were tingly today, so I went to work on a warm up piece. Just something to get rid of the antsy tinglies and collect myself before the week begins. I've been planning a few large long term pieces that I can't wait to tackle, but they'll have to wait until winter break. I am repeatedly being told in class that "pattern is wrong...", so this piece is for you proffessor--I put on my patterning pants and went to it! There is something meditative, delicious and satisfying about oil pastels that makes working with them something like finger painting with warm chocolate.

I've been craving calm lately. Between the crowded busses and the ever-growing stack of term papers I need some mildness, some smoothness. I wanted to make something serene. I like to imagine that she is pastoral and collected where ever she is, tucked away in her garden humming something sweet...
