Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger at the Royal Variety

Brit sex kitten Pixie Lott and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger took to the stage at this year's Royal Variety Performance airing last night over on ITV1 to provide an evening of entertaining worthy of Royalty. They did not disappoint.

Standing over a silver cylinder platform, blond bombshell Pixie wowed the crowd with a rendition of her hit single 'All About Tonight'. Joined on stage by a number of feather wielding dancers, the young star danced and sang her way through an entertaining routine and of course looked naturally stunning as she did so. 1950s styled hair. Black playsuit. Black heels. Simple, yet classic Pixie.

Someone who also chose to go out in black was former lead Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Dressed in a rather revealing black gown, Scherzinger belted out new single 'Try With Me' on what appeared to be a five minute build it yourself scaffolding complete with four violinists.

The X-Factor US judge even returned to the stage to perform Phantom of The Opera sporting a white gown this time, following an introduction by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. Talk about the cat getting the cream. Scherzinger vocals were pretty flawless throughout, although the Don't Cha singer was marginally overshadowed by her male operatic collaborators.

This year's Royal Variety Performance was held in Salford's Lyric Theatre. Both the Queen and the Prince of Wales were not in attendance. The Royal Variety Performance was hosted by Peter Kay and is available to watch in HD catchup on ITVplayer.
