Every few Millenia evolution leaps forward...or at least that is what Patrick Stewart has led me to believe and it seems the world of fashion is no different when it comes to evolving and adapting for its seasonal trends. Enter the Shacket.
What the hell is a Shacket? Well its a simple phrase that has been adopted by the Fashion world to describe two everyday pieces, the shirt and the jacket combined to create...yes you guessed it...the Shacket. See what they did there? Drop the irt and acket, force the rest together and BOOM. New word. New style. New language. 'I love your Shacket dude'. 'No way man...your Shacket tops mine'. I literally cannot stop saying Shacket.
So where exactly does one purchase a Shacket at an affordable price? Your local highstreet of course. Topman have two note-worthy options available. One a corral quilted variant with a chord contrast pocket, elbow patches and random shoulder square on sale now for half price at £25. The second being a slim fitting grey denim alternate priced at £38. As an added bonus Topman also offer the original grey quilted Shacket with gold buttons and two chest pockets complete with a black chord collar for £50.
All Saints offer their own take on the Shacket with diamond contrast stitching All Saints take inspiration from the English Gentleman original hunting wear. Available on sale at £66.50 in both grey an navy. Republic currently have two plain Shackets in both dark blue and bright red for £30 in their Autumn/Winter sale.
Oh and guys...for the love of God avoid anything with a hood or anything that contains the slightest bit of checked flannel. I'm not even going to explain why. Just don't do it. There's no need to.
