So its official. 2012 is here, but for one man in particular 2011 will be one year former X-Factor contestant Olly Murs won't be forgetting in a hurry. A number one sophomore LP, two UK number one hit singles and a gig co-hosting X-Factor spinoff sensation, the Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack. Not too shabby for a runner up.
Of course landing such a privileged job means looking your best week after week and the Essex lad certainly did that. Trademark tight fitting, bulge revealing trousers are what Murs does best and he didn't disappoint receiving some stick from Caroline on his eye catching choice of attire. Male reproductive organs aside, Olly is genuinely up there when it comes to his style combining classic tailored influences with English Gentlemen looks that are both timeless and simple to pull off and easy to accessorise as an added bonus.
The Please Don't Let Me Go singer attended the Brit Awards back in February of 2011, sporting chocolate brown skinny fit trousers, a white grandad collared shirt and a black three quarter-length velvet overcoat looking dapper from head to toe. Of course this wasn't the only event the X-Factor alumni attended turning up at Children in Need, Pride of Britain and Cosmopolitan's Woman of the Year awards making everyone's heart skip a beat in the process.
Of course the jazzy pop-star isn't afraid to keep it casual when needed illustrated by his Xtra factor debuts in form fitting shirts and chinos. The odd trilby thrown in for good measure and nicely polished brogues to complete the look. Here's to 2012 Olly.
