Oh Jesus here we go again...Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' has received yet another release...this time featuring the one and only Justin Bieber. As if Christmas isn't difficult enough with the many other versions of this festive hit floating around, but if you think this is bad news, the unlikely pair have only gone and premiered a bloody video for it.
As monumentally successful as the two superstars are, I find their team up a tad peculiar and a little unnerving if I'm honest. Let's look at the facts. Mariah Carey can sing. Justin Bieber cannot. Mariah Carey is a lot older and somewhat sluttier than the Biebs Machine. Bieber can only last 30 seconds. The match just does not sit well.
More importantly its just plain creepy as JB wanders a shopping mall in search of the perfect Christmas gifts for his loved ones (Selena Gomez) whilst a certain Santa's sexy little helper, Mariah Carey herself, grinds up and down against what appears to be a mock Chimney placed strategically beside a few Christmas trees. When Santa went up the Chimney, Mariah Carey shouted yes please?
That being said Mariah is looking well following the birth of her twins a few months back. JB however looks ridiculous in that 'Christmas inspired' jacket of his. Seriously if Usher gets wind of this monstrosity be prepared for a complete back hand.
What would have saved this video would have been the inclusion of JB dodging Comet, Cupid, Dancer, Dasher, Prancer, Donner, Blitzen, Vixen and Rudolph as they attempted to spear him full speed for the sheer hilarity. 'Bieber got run over by a Reindeer...la la la la la'. That's what I want for Christmas.
All in all, who am I to deny these two the joy of Christmas. Justin Bieber premiered the video last night in New York City at the switching on of the Christmas Tree lights at the Rockefeller Centre. The track is available for download now.
