Olly Murs and Jessie J Shine On X-Factor UK

As the semi-finals draw ever closer, the final five waited anxiously on tonight's X-Factor results show with former X-Factor finalist and current Xtra-Factor host Olly 'the bulge' Murs and UK sensation Jessie J lending a hand to ease the tension.

Olly was joined on stage by the cast of the Muppets for an unusually hilarious performance of his new single 'Dance With Me Tonight' flirting with Miss Piggy as he jived away looking rather dapper in a classic tux. Complete with backing vocalist penguins and girls in sparkling gold dresses.

Whilst Jessie J stunned viewers with the simple yet effective method that is her voice. Delivering an emotional and downright phenomenal live version of her new single and album title track 'Who You Are' which was performed for the first time on the show two weeks ago by Mischa B in her sing off against the now axed Kitty Brucknill. There was of course no comparison. Jessie slayed it and the soon to be Voice judge also looked drop dead gorgeous in a purple lace number.

Although Olly Murs and Jessie J weren't the only ones to grace the X-Factor stage this evening as both JLS and One Direction returned once again. This time to join the X-Factor finalists for a miming session to their new charity song 'Wishing On A Star'.

Then it was time to get down to business as hopefuls Janet Devlin and Mischa B landed in the bottom two fighting for survival in the sing off, which Devlin more than delivered with a stunning version of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars. Mischa B becoming predictable in her black female power vocalist driven tracks, this weeks bottom two track being 'On My Own' from Fame.

Judges Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos opted to send Janet home based on her dreadful performances on Saturday night's show saving Mischa due to her star quality and career longevity. Kelly refused to choose between her two girls meaning Janet was sent home anyway. Gary Barlow said Janet would have been sent home on his decision regardless.

Olly Murs new single 'Dance With Me Tonight' debuted at number 2 in the UK charts today over on Radio 1. The X-Factor's new charity single 'Wishing On A Star' is available to purchase now with all proceeds going towards Together For Short Lives, a charity which supports and provides medical care for children with serious illnesses and as a result will not reach adulthood.

Semi-finalists Mischa B, Amelia Lily and the amazing Marcus Collins and Little Mix all perform next Saturday for their bid to reach the X-Factor final.
