Versace For H&M Arrives In Belfast

Versace For H&M hit the high-street today as Belfast's Royal Avenue store opened its doors to shop and showcase the exclusive 7th annual guest designer collaboration earlier this morning.

The collection debuted over 30 lines from the Italian designer with over 380 pieces from the ladieswear range being made available to the Northern Irish public with Belfast's Royal Avenue store being the only store in the North to offer the range. With a total of 300 stores in the UK and 2200 globally, H&M Royal Avenue was one of the 13% chosen to push the collection worldwide.
Store Manager, Gemma Mellan (pictured above, far right alongside Assistant Store Manager Michelle Moran and Area Visual Manager Ewelina Lisowska) had this to say regarding her store's selection, "Its massive. We are so proud and excited to have been chosen to host such an event." Continuing, "The collection isn't watered down in anyway, embodying everything Versace stands for. Its colourful. Its outrageous. Its great we get to experience it first hand."

Experience it first hand they did, with shopping assistants (myself included) being allocated to specific areas including a 'shop-in' section where the collection was displayed for the Versace hopefuls who queued in the rain to pick up their wristband, allowing them access to the exclusive event. Staff also wore a Versace For H&M t-shirt illustrating some of the lines more artistic and edgier prints.

The collection also debuted online at 9am via the H&M official website. Donatella Versace made an appearance at London's Regent Street store this morning whilst fights reportedly broke out in stores in Shanghai.

H&M previously collaborated with Lanvin, Roberto Cavalli, Jimmy Choo, Matthew Williamson and Karl Lagerfield. Former Gucci Creative Director, Tom Ford is rumoured to be the next big guest designer collaborating with H&M. Their team-up with David Beckham and the launch of his bodywear collection will be available in-stores February.
