doily daydream

Something about the look of old-fashioned lace just seems timelessly romantic, to me. I'm loving these contemporary takes on doily design. I'm especially enamored of the pendant light, and the way it throws beautiful intricate patterns of shadows and light.

Earrings

Here are two new earrings just created. A sterling silver, hammered, pear-shaped hoop, with turquoise chips. The second, a sterling silver "knot" with lapis lazuli round beads.

ICED

These sweet polymer clay treats by One Elf look good to eat!

Layers of tiny cakes are iced with delicious frostings, sliced, and made into lovely earrings.

INDUSTRIAL

These fun and funky earrings are from Diane Ringel (DesignsByDi.etsy.com). I hope you will enjoy browsing her web site and photo album to see how many creative uses she found for simple metal washers from a hardware store. I am especially fond of Diane's polymer clay earrings.

SOUTHERN

To me, these colorful earrings by a French polymer clay artist have a distinctive southern flavor. This artist definitely takes full advantage of the polymer clay colors.

Find her works at souslamansarde.etsy.com.

DOTTED

Here are a few simple, but impressive designs by Jen Marsh (LuckyYouStudio.etsy.com). All of these pendants and earrings are made with yet another polymer clay variation of an antique mokume gane technique. It seems that the possibilities of even this technique alone are endless, not to mention all the other ways of working with polymer clay!

INCREDIBLE

These incredible colors are from the shop of Valerie B. Krohn, NovaFolia.etsy.com. Her technique combines inlay and marbleized clays in many bright tones.

WHITE

White is my second favorite color after black.

I love completely white designs – choosing this color, an artist can draw our undivided attention to the shape and texture of her creation. Take a look at these beautiful white polymer clay earrings by Krista Peel. That's simplicity at its best, isn't it?

PRETTY

These polymer clay earrings from momochas.etsy.com are simply sweet and pretty.

This is what the artists who made them says: "I’m usually completely devoted to each piece until it is finished, ensuring that I capture the initial inspiration that led me to it, and to make each one reflecting a story, a different atmosphere and concept." I think this approach pays off, don't you agree?

Bright colors, intricate details, and lovely shapes – this is how I would describe the new earrings in Elena Bucharska's shop, elenadesignbead.etsy.com. Elena offers these beautiful polymer clay flowers as beads, too.

These delicate flowers in soft colors are from oakgeorgia.etsy.com by Georgia Morgan. Such a simple design, but every time I come across them on the Internet, they catch my attention and make me stop to admire them, just like real flowers...

There are more photos of Georgia's work at flickr.com/photos/oakgeorgia and georgiamorgan.net.
