X-Factor Kitty Leaves Whilst Amelia Returns

Following the axing of controversial contestant Frankie Cocozza (now nicknamed Frankie Coke Nozza LOL) the X-Factor UK pulled out all the stops this week to get the falling in ratings show in line. Enter ditched in the first week constestant Amelia Lily.

With Gary's bad boy out of the picture X-Factor head honchos decided to bring back the four acts the judges discarded without the use of the public vote in the first week of the live shows. Jonjo Kerr, James Michael, Two Shoes and Amelia Lily. Returning as a result of the public vote it was Kelly's girl Amelia who won the audience over.

The public weren't the only ones won over mind. Gone is the girl seen running from the stage and her mentor Kelly Rowlan,d crying in despair and in her place was a confident young woman who took to the stage to perform what Louis declared a performance worthy of a former reigning champ. Unfortunately she still has the pink hair.

Amelia also made it through on last night's results show where both One Direction made their return singing new single 'Gotta Be You' and rather well we might add, whilst Lady Gaga gave a hilarious performance of her new track 'Marry The Night' complete with a confessions box and a headless mannequinn attached to her upper body. All is a day's work.

Fellow X-Factor hopeful and Lady Gaga disciple Kitty Brucknell did not survive the cut last night landing in the bottom two once again with Mischa B trailing not too far behind her. Giving a slightly weak performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow judges Kelly, Gary and Tulisa all chose to send Kitty home with Gary claiming she had failed to connect with the audience at home. It didn't stop Kitty from leaving the show with her head held high giving a send off in the shape of a few powerful lines from Gaga's hit Born This Way.

Over on the X-Tra factor, Gaga even ran out ignoring hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, heading straight for Kitty, giving the reject a hug before whisking her away for a drink or two. Now that's a tv show we would watch over and over again.

Catch up on all the show's performances via the X-Factor official website. Tune in next week to see the remaining six acts fight it out once more including our very own Janet Devlin. Rihanna and last year's X-Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson will both be hitting the stage in promotion of their new singles on the Sunday night results show.
