Daffodil growing tips from around North America

The #FleurChat daffodil chatterers are everywhere from British Columbia to the Deep South. We had fun talking daffodils when I was honored to be the #FleurChat guest.

Read about their favorite daffodil varieties, growing tips, and how many bulbs they're planting right now (lots!) in the transcript from our convivial #FleurChat about daffodils.

#FleurChat is a Twitter event on alternate Thursdays at 6 p.m. Pacific time.

A
recent guest on #FleurChat was Kathy Jentz, editor/publisher of Washington Gardener magazine, and member of the board of the Garden Writers Association, talking about her favorite flowers for the D.C. zone 7 climate.

An earlier guest was Debra Lee Baldwin, Queen of Succulents, with comments on blooming succulents and cacti.

The mastermind behind #FleurChat? Fern Richardson, whose new book Small Space Container Gardens is top of the hit parade of forthcoming garden books. Fern will be speaking at a garden show near you in 2012.

For more daffodil tips, click on DAFFODIL INFORMATION at the top of this blog. Please add your ideas in the comment section here about what daffodils to plant and why. Questions too, if you have any.

Looking forward to February, when my 'Rijnveld's Early Sensation' will get daffodil season underway here in Zone 7b.
