Friends With Benefits Film Review

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis star in new rom-com Friends With Benefits revolving around two unlucky in love hopefuls who find their paths crossed into a budding new friendship, that is until the pair decide to include a few extras to their platonic relationship...these extras are of course no strings attached sex.

Timberlake plays Dylan, the handsome new Editor of GQ who landed his dream job thanks to recruiter Jamie played by the beautifully sexy Kunis. The chemistry between the pair is undeniable on screen as is the comedic value in basically every sex scene, in fact pretty much every scene for that matter, but trouble soon begins to brew as it becomes apparent that emotions always get in the way.

With most successful rom-coms comes the undeniable strength of the co-stars and one in particular is Woody Harrelson who provides the film's gay character...the straightest gay sports editor ever. Comedic gold.

More importantly the film does what Portman and Kutcher's No Strings Attached failed to accomplish and that was the real nature of both the friendship angle and the sexual gratification found in a leave the baggage at the door romp.

USA Today wrote "When it's good, Friends With Benefits is quite good — especially as it skewers rom-com clichés. And Timberlake and Kunis definitely bring sexy back to a tired formula." Whilst the Boston Globe stated "We saw this same movie last winter, when it was called “No Strings Attached’’ and starred Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. Welcome to the much improved remake featuring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, two stars we actually want to see. Also making their debut appearance together: a pace, a pulse, and a script." Oh Dayum!

The rom-com is directed and co-written by Will Gluck. Friends With Benefits is in cinemas worldwide now and so far grossed over 50 million in the US taking nearly 20 million in its opening weekend alone.
