Episode one of the eight series in the UK's most watched talent show the X-Factor aired last night debuting its all new panel comprised of 'last judge standing' Louis Walsh, Tulisa Constavlos, Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow...and I can now reveal that the results are in...the new recruits are a sure fire hit!
Great looks, chemistry and most important of all judging quality. Even the youngest member of the panel, the relatively new to the industry, Tulisa of N-Dubz fame has managed to surprise and deliver in the premiere through personality, style and some generally good advice.
Whilst Destiny's Child alumni Kelly Rowland and Take That genius Gary Barlow are the slightly older, more experienced having been in the industry and working their way to the top for nearly 20 years. Its safe to say Cheryl, Simon and Danni who?
The Mirror wrote "With firm but fair Gary Barlow as head judge, the losses of Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell hardly seemed like losses at all."
Of course in true X-Factor fashion, the judges weren't the only ones grabbing our attention. Young misguided tool Frankie from Brighton who wants to 'sleep with as many women as possible' showed off his arrogance, vocal ability and his bum complete with seven girls names tattooed as a reminder of his summer holiday. Proud parents I'm sure.
Throw in a crazy Asian woman, a Lady Gaga acapella woman who is also a bit unhinged and George who takes a swipe at Tulisa and you have yourself a tv talent riot.
The only acts that seemed of genuine interest sadly have little to no screen time throughout the program with a girl group taking on Jessie J and busting some impressive moves to JT's 'Senorita' was 19 year old Ashford Campbell. Bring on next week!
X-Factor Season 8's premiere episode debuted with 11.3 million viewers beating last years 11.1 million which was the highest in the show's history. Simon Cowell's American version of the show debuts in September in the US.
