Oh What Bliss

Oh What Bliss ~
To Scratch That Itch!
About the image: I have a squirrel or two that hang around my backyard and deck. They share - somewhat peacefully- the bird food I put in the feeders.

I Saved A Squirrel

Well, I didn't actually SAVE him - but I saved the picture of him. As you can tell from the shot below, it was Way Too Dark. But I still thought it was a cute shot. (I am amazed at how they can balance on their toes like that!) I used Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 (see sidebar link) to make it a more "viewable" image. I still have a LOT to learn - about photography, about editing, about everything, but I thought I'd share this with you in case you have some dark shots that you want to "Save" :)

Mr. Squirrel - prior to the "Save"

Get over the idea that only children should spend their time in study. Be a student so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life.

Squirrel - Face to Face Fun

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.
- Victor Borge
I LOVE to Laugh! I was texting yesterday on my Iphone with Autocorrect on - and I wanted to type "Yipppeeee" and the phone "corrected" it to show "Tupperware" I sent the text before I caught the error and had the Biggest Laugh in a long time. I'm still laughing.
Fill your Life with Lots of Laughter :)

Well Balanced

If we could learn how to balance rest against effort, calmness against strain, quiet against turmoil, we would assure ourselves of joy in living and psychological health for life. - Josephine Rathbone
Finding a balance in life is quite the undertaking! I'm working on it!

Munching on the Greens!

(taken in April 2010)
It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" ~Winnie the Pooh
Looks like this squirrel was having salad for lunch!

Hanging On

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.
~William Feather
It amazes me how these little red squirrels can hold on by their "toes"!
