Cedar Waxwing - Watching Me

First you need only look: Notice and honor the radiance of Everything about you... Play in this universe. Tend All these shining things around you: The smallest plant, the creatures and objects in your care. Be gentle and nurture. Listen... ~Anne Hillman

Cedar Waxwing Conversation

Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!
~Dr. Seuss
I wonder what this Cedar Waxwing is "saying" to the other one?
About the Image: Taken on 11-25-11 - a very dark morning. The waxwings were in the backyard tree. I took this thru the window - at ISO 1600.

Cedar Waxwings

All that we behold is full of blessings.
~William Wordsworth
About the image: Taken 10-31-11 in my backyard. A grainy shot and cropped closely as I was far away. I am so blessed to have trees in my yard that entice many birds to visit, including the Cedar Waxwings.

Happy Thanksgiving

For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hem your blessings with thankfulness so they don't unravel. ~Unknown

Friday Feathers ~ Masked Bandit Elegance

I think of Cedar Waxwings as the masked bandits of the bird world. They also have a type of simple elegance to them ~ reminding me of Audrey Hepburn, who is one of my favorite actresses. She is also one of my favorite quote authors that I like to refer to.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others. ~Audrey Hepburn
